Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) - Vacuum Chamber System
Fabrication, Seismic Retro fit; Moving Buildings
QVE built this large vacuum chamber system for JPL in 1996. This large Vacuum System measures 8' in diameter and is 40' in length. Not only did JPL choose QVE to build this Vacuum System for them, they also opted for us to make the seismic upgrades in 2007. Along with making the necessary upgrades to bring it up to code, JPL needed to move the system into a new building. While moving this system, QVE had to use a safety factor of times 10 to ensure that it remained in pristine condition.
Hughes - 'Big Bertha'
In 1997, QVE built this massive chamber, termed "Big Bertha." "Big Bertha" has the fastest pump system in the United States and pumps over 1 million liters per second. This enormous chamber measures 20' in diameter and 45' in length and has hinged doors on both ends.
QVE's Personal Bakeout Chamber
This is QVE's personal bakeout chamber, it helps to ensure that we provide the best quality product on an ad hoc basis.
Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) - Installation and Upgrade
QVE fabricated and installed this thermal shroud in a vacuum chamber for Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
